Grey humpy with hackle

Grizzle hackle.

After tying wing tie in grizzle hackle 2/3 turns, tie off and whip finish.
You can make the body from twisted cdc, but the idea is to keep the fly simple.

Tying.

fix hook in vise, wind thread to bend.

Select CdC.

align tips of CdC (4)

attaching.

Attach CdC to top of hook, wind thread forward to form a rib! trim surplus!

Front attachment.

Pull forward CdC and attach behind eye ( not to close to eye! ) some CdC will form a tail.

Form wing.

Now lift forward facing CdC and take a turn around to make wing stand up! whip finish.

Finally.

Varnish, and if necessary trim wing.
