Sea Trout Flies.
Materials:-  Hooks ~ 12 l/shank, Main Body ~ Heat shrink tubing, Braided line, Tinsel/mylar tubing, Wing ~ Dyed Squirrel Tail & Krystel Flash, Eyes ~ Jungle Cock ( optional )  You will also need about 12" 6lb nylon.

Tying Sequence

Place hook in vise and thread braid as pic.

Body Build.

put nylon through tubing to form loop, thread braid through tube, as per photo, and push tubing over hook eye.

Adding Materials.

Put Mylar/Tinsels into nylon loop, and pull through tube to hook eye.

Picture shows material/s entered in tubing, CAREFULLY remove nylon loop, DO NOT trim materials.

 Shrinking tube.

How you shrink the tube is your choice, whether with hot air ( hair dryer ) or naked flame, as soon as you have shrunk the tubing you will need to keep it straight, DO NOT stretch tubing. 

Front Section.

Place second hook in vise, Wind thread to bend, tie in rear hook ensuring that rear hook is upright, take braid down through eye and to rear,bring up either side of body and forward.

Attach Body.

This shows how braid is brought forward and tied in.

Body.

Trim braid and body material, take thread to rear in even turns, bring forward to tie in tinsel ( red holo in this case ) add dab of super glue to tyings ( this helps bind tying and also ensures tinsel is fixed to tying! )

Winging.

Add 2/3 strands of krystal flash ( colour to match wing )

Add wing ( Squirrel tail, dyed Orange/Red ) and 2/3 further strands of krystal flash on top. ( A dab of super glue on top of hair helps to bind hairs )

Add eyes & finish.

Add eyes ( optional ) trim, whip finish, and varnish.
