Just a little something whilst in lockdown! worth a try.

Another little idea i had.
Hook......#16 barbless
Bead........3mm slotted
Tail/Body....Lime Green Krystal Flash
Thorax.......Orange dubbing
​Tail and body tied in as one, easy fly to tie.

Just when i thought i might be able to start fishing again, along comes Corona Virus followed by lockdown. Its trying times for all of us, but, we now have time to fill up our fly boxes, get our equipment into shape, also there are online sites where we can order fly fishing gear, so it is not all doom and gloom.
I think i have managed to tie enough flies to last me for a good few years to come, and i still keep tying more! all the reels have been cleaned and oiled, rods have been cleaned and checked.

Something i have been working on, hollow bodied fly, (sorry picture's not very good) body is strip of Latex glove wound round a Bobbin needle, then heated (carefully!) to amalgamate turns, remove, thread doubled piece of 3lb nylon through body, put Red holo tinsel in loop, and pull into body, next insert three Pheasant herls into body, seal with a dab of "Hard-as-Nails" then tie in as detached body fly etc.
