 Tie dropper to cast, tighten, and slide to fly knot. this lets the hackle and body/thorax support the nymph, rather than at the hook bend which pulls the tail under, and can also mask the hook, as the fish would have to take the dry fly from the side to avoid the dropper line. thats my thinking anyway.
