Playing at the vice, thought i'd try putting a tail on a blob, if they can use foam to make it float, why not a tail to add movement, the fly is weighted to make it sink slowly.

There has been quite a bit about Mop Flies on various forums on the internet, so here is my take on this new fly.
Above are Mini Mops, simple to tie. In fact, the same tying procedure as the "X" fly.s
The above are tied on #16's.
