Had a day at Dever Springs on Thursday 26th November, had a struggle with road works at Stonehenge, (road coned of, no workmen in sight!) finally arrived to be greeted by anglers all round first lake, and quite a few on second.
not to be put off went and paid my money, tackled up, and started fishing.
To say it was cold is putting mildly, and not a touch for about an hour, a change of fly to a size 16 Orange Braid fly did the trick, first trout 8¾ lbs, a bit later and no.2 parts company after a short fight, and then no.3 decides to let go! by this time i'm really cold and the thought of getting past Stonehenge again makes my mind-up to leave.
