Had a day at Amherst fishery on friday, (29th) C&R, used the detached bodied nymph shown in a earlier post (4 of) red one proved the fly of choice (for the fish) ended up with 10, mostly "Blues"
It's now called the "X fly" as it first came to prominence at Exe Valley trout fishery. it has also worked at Hawkridge, Dever and Amherst. the body material comes in 8 colours, do give this fly/nymph a try.
