Early on Saturday (5th) morning a friend, fishing on our private water managed to hook and land? six (6) sea trout, and had the misfortune to have a salmon come at his lure twice! and failed to connect! some people are always in the right place at the right time.
My last outing ended with the sea trout still safe and sound, apart from a few swirls, not even a nip or pluck! some you win, some you lose.
Well, the river fishing for Brown trout on the Axe and Tone has finished for this season, now we will have to target the Grayling, a lovely fish and much under rated by a lot of trout anglers
