This fly is tied on a size 24 hook.
Body is tying thread, 6/0 ( in this case olive )
Wing is poly thread, ( from centre of Mylar tubing )
Tail is ginger cock hackle whisks.
Hackle is one turn of ginger cock hackle.
The bead is for comparison, and is a 3.3mm gold bead.
Smaller flies become that little bit more difficult, and you then get into thinner tying thread, not impossible to tie, but you then have to think of breaking strains of your leader/cast, as even 1lb b/strain looks like anchor rope!
